Peloton Ridge Country
Club opened on September 9, 1978 under the name Sun Meadows Racquet and
Swim Club. The original owners were Fred D. Boles of Killeen and Bruce
Thompson of Temple.
The club began with 8 tennis courts, a junior Olympic pool, locker
rooms, snack bar, television lounge, and a
tennis pro shop. Some time
later 3 pro racquetball courts and an 1800 sq ft. fitness room were
added to
increase the variety of activities available. It was a popular
site for tennis and swim activists and a place for
the entire family to
enjoy both activity and leisure.
Today Peloton
Ridge
Country Club carries that same intent with a new and updated layout. The
building has
undergone a complete renovation. The renovation started with a 690 sq. ft.
addition of the front lobby and a
225 sq. ft. rear storage room. New rock
was added to the exterior walls and stone columns. The gated
entrances and
wood fence on the east side of the property are new additions. The locker
rooms were
redesigned with new showers, partitions, sinks, granite
countertops, wood lockers and flooring, which offers
a country club feel to this exclusive setting. The new facility provides state of the art
technology, featuring
high-access security at both gates and building
entrances, security cameras, flat screen televisions, and
motion sensor
water controls within the restrooms.
As we begin the second
phase of upgrades to the pool, volleyball, and picnic area, we look forward
to the
future with a member-driven focus. Our goal is to improve your
quality of life through fitness, swimming,
sports and fun! It's time to do
something for you. Come be a part of this one-of-a-kind experience where we
offer a country club feel for today's fitness and sporting enthusiasts.
